Carson Middle School Reviews

RCMS was awesome! I had never experienced anything amazing! The teachers were great and it showed a lot of diversity, with students of numerous backgrounds. No one felt left out, and everyone had a friend. The academics are top notch with teachers who make sure you do your best. It was an overall exciting experience!

Rachel Carson is a really great school. I've never seen anybody there without a friend, and the teachers and faculty are so nice that you want to go back everyday to see what they have in store for you. Also, the students and faculty are very diverse that you dont ever see anybody here that can't except people of other backgrounds. There are sooooo many extra curricular activities at this school. There is one for just about everybody. Also, this school is not very clicky because there are so many schools that feed into it that everybody just wants to meet everybody else and the next thing you know 3 weeks into the school year you have dozens of new friends! It really is a great school.

RCMS rocks. It is super friendly has a rigorous but not over challenging academic program and a good amount of extracurricular activities. There is a club for everyone at this school. If a student works hard enough they can excel. Not only are the academics and teachers good, but there is also extra emphasize on physical fitness. Students usually run 1.5 miles at least once a week. Overall Carson is a great school. I've attend some of the best private schools in the country and this is by far the best. Carson Rocks!

I love this school! It is so awesome, all the teachers are so friendly and you won't find one person without a friend. Anyone can excel in school with help from teachers and cooperation of the student.

We are so pleased with this school. Dispite our troubled child, the principal, teachers and other staff menbers are so very supportive. The teachers go the extra mile for the students. (Ms. Gaines you're the best!) RC is a fine example how a school should opporate.

It is so hard to believe that this school is a public school. It was better than any private school my child ever attended. The entire staff is caring and professional. The teachers and counselors knew my child quite well by mid- September. RCMS wants your child to like school, like themselves, and treat others well and it shows! The 7th Grade Science teacher turned my child around from not caring about science to loving science. (Mr. Shah, thank you!) The best Librarian in FCPS works to get your child to enjoy reading (Ms. Fitch). The school is a clean, new, safe and happy enviroment for your child to learn. Other wonderful teachers, too numerous to mention, nurtured and enriched my child during the middle school years in a many wonderful ways. The Drama department puts on productions that you would expect to see in High Schools. Mr. Bickford works magic with these teens.

This school has excellent faculty, strong administrators and a nice selection of extracurricular activities. Unfortunately, the school has over 1,200 students in grades 7 and 8 so many children find it difficult to get involved in extracurricular activities. Late buses are only available twice a week.
