It will be hard for anyone to meet the standard set by the principal and teachers. It has been a great 5 years for my daughter and I only wish she could spend her last year there.”

She has a real talent for choosing the best and keeping them the best. Great school. Smith's test scores are high, especially considering the diversity of the school. Kids love thier school and if you go to school events, you will see lots of middle school kids coming back to visit. My three kids have had wonderful teachers every single year.”

“I love P.B. Smith and sadly our family is moving. I feel that our boys have had an excellent experience. Volunteers are welcome, the teachers are great and the environment is open and friendly. The need for more programs? I think the focus on math, reading and writing worked for my average boys with good grades.”

“Over the last several years some member's of the administrative staff seems to have gone on auto pilot. Extracurricular activities are growing in quantity and quality. Field Trips need more variety and frequency. The local area is changing with families moving to the area and the school and county need to adapt from 'rural nature of our community' to a more urban school environment. They need to keep up with the changing surroundings and challenges.”

“I would categorize PB Smith as a good school that is in need of some improvements. There is the problem of over crowding, multiple bus runs and lack of special programs. Other schools in the district have the benefit of foreign language programs and such. There is nothing like that at Smith. The principal seems difficult to deal with also. There are some bright spots however. From personal experiences, I believe they have some fabulous Kindergarten teachers. They have a guidance program that keeps a counselor involved with all of the kids to teach them things like citizenship and how to deal with school related problems.”
