Stonewall Middle School Reviews

I used to go to this school its very nice. Teachers are nice. Some students are nice not all. There can be some drama but then its sloved and ppl are friends again lol... Other then that its a great place 2 meet friends who will be with you forever!

this school is the best school i've ever been to! I feel like home when i'm here

I am a student of sms. I am new here but at my first few weeks here, i feel so great! The teachers, staffs, employees and students! They welcomed me as if i am Old here. THey are so cool and good. I thought at first there are so many gangs here in this school but now it is just a thought! They are so nice! The 8th grade teachers welcome me so good! At first i am a little bit scared (like all students feel when it is the first day of school) but it turned out great!

i am a student who goes to sms and i have to say that my school is awesome. We might have a reputation at our school for being a 'ghetto' school full of gang members etc. but we do have a lot of students in our school who go way against that. The math courses that are avaliable are awesome i am an 8th grader and i am allowed to take geometry. which is the highest math possible for my age. The music department i have to admit is shakey which is sad because i am a music fan but it is getting better with each year. We dont have great sports teams but they are fun and totally worth the time. So hope your check out SMS!

The math and science teachers are true leaders and genuniely care about students excelling. I give applause to their mentoring. My child has grown immensely under their tutilege and we saw her SOL test scores rocket. The IB/Signet program also has a skilled dept head, who does well at guiding exceptional students. The music dept is growing and full of promise by virtue of the wonderful teachers making great strides and inspiring the students. On the down side is their sports programs and extracurriclar activities which stlll have a long way to go. Activities like soccer and cheerleading are suffering terribly under a definate lack of direction and leadership. Plus, there is very little focus on actual art and creative expression. Sadly this influence and inspiration is missing, which as a parent of a gifted art student, is very disappointing.
