Battlefield High School Reviews

I have not been that impressed by the teachers at this school. Teaching is not a big part of the classroom in core subjects. A Teachers teach to the test when they are teaching. This is the perfect job to have as a teacher. They have the students learn the information on their own in the classroom and for homework, yet the teachers still get paid just as much as teachers who work hard. Not much of a gifted and talented program either, Students sit in a cirlce and discuss their 'feelings' and 'thoughts' about school and subjects being discussed. School is over crowded. It was built for 2050 students and currently has a total population of about 2700 and still growing. It is the only high school in the area. German language class is GREAT! Small class sizes and teacher is wonderful and personable. Orchestra teacher is very good also.

Battlefield is a wonderful high school. It has a wonderful music department. The teachers and administration care about the students and work with the parents to make the learning of each child a priority

Battlefield offers so much to its students. Students have the opportunity go very far, and the IT program is for the most part an incredible program! Most of the teachers are very knowledgeable and quality educators. The school's big problem is lack of communication between students and administration. The school doesn't always take the students seriously, and student leadership is lacking in clubs and other extracurricular activities.

The school faculty could work wonders with their students by guiding / counseling students on how they could put themselves on the fast track - AP courses / clubs how they help . . . etc. PWC students seem to be unaware of what they could acheive.

Battlefield highschool is a wonderful school with a great environment . Some people might think that it is too big when they are freshmans but they do get used to it after a while. The sports teams are great and they offer many different activities.

Although the school is large, my daughter had no trouble as a freshman finding friends who shared her interests. She also was able to participate in a number of activities. In part due to the size of the school, she will be able to take Latin II and AP classes this coming year, which smaller schools don't offer. We've lived all over and attended many schools. I find that the quality of the education depends on the quality of the student.

I took my son out and put him in a private boarding school.
